Basic Maintenance
Maintenance Course for first-time bicycle owners.
This short four-hour course won’t turn you into an expert mechanic quite yet, but it will teach you the eight essential bicycle maintenance and repair skills. These skills are what make the difference between riding and walking home with your bike over your shoulder.
Leave the greasy jobs for the shop mechanic, but learn how to look after your own bicycle without those continuous and pesky return trips to your bike shop.
The 8 Essential Bike Maintenance Skills you will learn on the Yellow Saddle maintenance course for beginners:
- How to clean a bicycle

- How to adjust brakes.
- What to look for in a complete safety check.
- Nifty emergency roadside repairs.
- How to read the vital signs of your chain’s health.
